I’ve added a new page to the website called /carry. This page lists my everyday carry items, also known as EDC.
A Small Web corner where light meets logic. A mix of everyday moments, tech explorations, and an ongoing brain dump.

Uruky: Kagi alternative, EU-based private search engine
I was just looking around the Privacyguides forums and found a mention of Uruky. It’s a 100% EU-based, simpler private search engine. Setting up an account is pretty similar to signing up at Mullvad; you’ll get a random number.
Uruky is also more affordable. I’m a subscriber to Kagi Professional, which comes to 12,10 USD (including tax) each month. Uruky is only 5 Euro each month. Since I’m not using Kagi to its full potential, I’m going to give Uruky a try and save some money while supporting EU-based software/services.
Vivaldi (Chrome) ruining website colors
I recently tried Vivaldi browser and noticed my website’s colors looked wrong. Vivaldi’s (or any Chrome-based browser) aggressive color management adjusts CSS colors based on your monitor’s color profile (ICC) to optimize it for your display. I fixed this by changing Force color profile to sRGB in vivaldi://flags or chrome://flags.
Ditched Cloudflare for Bunny.net
To enhance privacy, I've moved the DNS management, caching, and security for my domain from Cloudflare to Bunny.net (affiliate link), a European company that's not under US jurisdiction; EU data sovereignty. This decision was inspired by an article from Follow the Money.
Post-Quantum Protected Email
For the past six years, I’ve been using Proton Mail for my email, along with other privacy related services from Proton. Recently, Proton introduced an optional post-quantum protection feature (part of OpenPGP v6 (RFC 9580)). I immediately enabled it, as it’s important to prepare to make sure that my current data remains secure.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword - E16
OMG, the episode where Will used his newly awakened powers was absolutely epic! Will, who has no magical aptitude, managed to protect everyone with a new fifth element. My emotions were all over the place in this episode. Perhaps, somehow, I understand how he always felt…
Bubbles
My personal blog is now listed on Bubbles, a website that simplifies the search for other personal blogs on the smallweb. It also helps me find other interesting posts.
Bubbles is similar to Pagecord Spotlight or Bear Discovery Feed, but the main difference is that Bubbles curates websites that aren’t exclusively part of a specific platform.
Valencia
Valencia, Spain, is all set for my holiday! It’s my first time visiting, and I’m so excited! It was a bit of a last-minute decision. I’ve already sorted out the plane tickets and Airbnb. I’ve been noting down some fun things I’m looking forward to be doing once I arrive.
Let me know if you have any specific tips or advice. 🤗
Otrovert
After doing some research, I eventually came across the "official" website about Otroverts. And according to the questionnaire, I’ve been identified as an Otrovert!
Magpie
To my surprise, the Eurasian Magpie has returned to my garden for yet another season. I believe it started like two years ago, or I never noticed it earlier than that. Only spotted one of them this time.
I will never forget that it guards my garden against crows.
Small Web
Guess what? I just found out I’m on the Kagi Small Web! I was thinking about adding myself, but it looks like someone already did. Thanks a bunch to whoever added me!
Custom CSS
Custom CSS for my Pagecord blog has been keeping me busy. Liking the results so far for light and dark mode (no toggle, unfortunately on the website). One of the two “issues” is that the custom CSS can only be 8 kb big, and the online editor doesn't let you do some things, showing me an invalid or insecure warning. But at least minifying the code helps, which lets me style even more. If it could be larger than 8 kb, I could add (more) accessibility fixes according to the WCAG.
The things you can do with modern CSS these days are astonishing: less JavaScript, more CSS.
Personality
It seems there’s a new personality type out there, besides just introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts. It’s called otrovert, and I’m starting to think I might be one of them! I'm going to be learning more about it...
Macbook Neo
I bought myself a MacBook Neo and I am so glad that I did! It's also my first Mac ❤️ I'm considering a Mac Mini in the future; hopefully, it will have the M5 by then.
Trying out Pagecord
Hello World.
Trying out yet another new blogging platform. I keep switching, finding the right one for me, but it is quite difficult since each one has its pros and cons.
I have started with self-hosting numerous platforms, then moved to Bearblog, Pika, and am now trying out Pagecord. So far, the biggest pro I have seen is that Pagecord is much more affordable on an annual basis compared to Pika.
I'm going to give Pagecord a try and will likely pay for a yearly subscription to have access to all of its features.
Update 2025-08-11: Decided to switch to Pagecord.
